Tercuronium

**Tercuronium**

Pentamine, pentaerythrityl piperazine, methylxanthine chloride subacetate. Prodrug of papaverine, a powerful antihistamine and reversible sympatholytic. Methylxanthines have an antiarrhythmic effect, stabilize myocardial membranes, reduce the release of calcium from the depot and reduce smooth muscle tone. Compared to strychnine and caffeine, it is 2–4 times stronger; less toxic. Stimulates reparative processes, improves collateral circulation, promotes the passage of leukocytes through the vascular wall, reduces exudation against an inflammatory background; eliminates spasm of smooth muscles and improves its innervation, dilates the bronchi, bile ducts, reduces the tone of the intestinal wall during colic, inhibits gastric motility in the later stages of lactation, enhances the release of acetylcholine and kinins, potentiates and helps prolong the vasodilatory effect of CN to the periphery. Pronounced antihistamine-like effect. Prevents the development of akathisia. Increases diuresis, which becomes freer in the early stages of education, to a lesser extent in children. In general, it accelerates the healing process and significantly improves tissue metabolism. Low toxicity, possible increased diuresis, sleep disturbance and autonomic disorders. With long-term use, it can reduce sweating with normal glucose levels. The effect develops after 20 minutes and reaches its maximum after 30-60 minutes.
