The first days after childbirth are an incredibly exciting and responsible time for every woman. On the one hand, the appearance of a long-awaited baby fills the heart with happiness and joy. On the other hand, the body is undergoing a serious restructuring and needs rest and recovery.

Immediately after childbirth, intense contractions of the uterus begin, which may be accompanied by pain. Pain in the perineal area is also a concern, especially in the presence of tears or episiotomy. Problems with bowel movements and stool retention may occur.

Heavy bleeding from the uterus lasts for the first 3 days. Then they gradually decrease and stop by 5-6 weeks. If there is a sharp increase in blood loss, you should immediately consult a doctor.

Lactation occurs in the mammary glands - milk production. Sometimes there is overfilling of the mammary glands and their engorgement. Frequent breastfeeding and proper feeding regimen will help avoid this problem. Cracked nipples are also possible.

Despite all the inconveniences, the woman’s condition is improving every day. Under the supervision of doctors, unpleasant symptoms disappear, all processes in the body are normalized. The main thing during this period is patience, rest and caring for the newborn. Very soon the discomfort will be replaced by the joy of motherhood!
