It is not recommended for hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, blood diseases, active diseases of the central nervous system, in the first trimester of pregnancy, while breastfeeding and in children under 12 years of age.

It is important to consider possible side effects when using Tinidazole. They may include dyspeptic disorders such as loss of appetite, nausea, and sometimes vomiting and diarrhea. In rare cases, dizziness, locomotor ataxia, dysarthria, convulsions, paresthesia and allergic reactions may also occur.

It is compatible with some sulfonamides and antibiotics such as aminoglycosides, erythromycin, rifampicin and cephalosporins. However, it is not recommended to use it with ethionamide. Phenobarbital may accelerate the metabolism of Tinidazole in the liver. It should also be remembered that Tinidazole enhances the effect of indirect anticoagulants.

As of 2004, there is no reliable information about an overdose of Tinidazole. However, when using the drug, some special instructions may arise. For example, it can cause dark urine. During treatment, it is not recommended to consume alcoholic beverages to avoid intestinal colic, nausea and vomiting.
