Tonography

Title of the article: “Tonography is a non-obvious way to diagnose muscle diseases.” Today we’ll talk about the most unpleasant but not entirely dangerous muscle disease. With this disorder, the nerve that transmits signals to the muscle or back to the brain can weaken the connection between the two. As a result, muscle function and signal transmission speed are lost. Fast contractions during exercise make you very tired. Your muscles are torn quickly, as are the nerves connecting them to the central nervous system. Therefore, sometimes you feel discomfort and fatigue not because of the development of various muscle groups, but because

Tonograph - (tonographogram) is one of the methods for studying the nature of the time distribution of a shock or myotonic impulse of a given amplitude along the nerve trunk. Used in neurology and physiology to diagnose the conduction of nerve impulses and the functional state of the neuromuscular system. It consists of a graphic recording of bioelectric potentials of the skin (biocurrents) during rhythmic passive compression or stretching of the muscles of the limb with electric or pneumatic pulse suppressors. In physiological studies, it is also used to record excitation impulses passing through neuromuscular synapses during the recording of transsynaptic potential. When studying motor functions, changes in the amplitudes of resting currents and excitation waves arising in response to electrical stimulation of the nerve with a pharynx electrode are of diagnostic importance. If we record biopotentials at the moment of maximum contraction and at the stage of muscle relaxation, we can judge the function of the neuromuscular spindles. Research is being carried out
