Trichinella

Trichinella is a genus of roundworms (parasitic nematodes) that live in the muscle tissue of various animals. These are the most common parasites from the Nematodozoa group. Some species are serious human infections that cause trichinosis.

Adult Trichinilla specimens are typically 5 to 6 mm long and 0.15 to 0.2 mm in diameter.
