Typhoid nodule

Typhoid nodule or typhoid granuloma (lat. granuloma typhosum) is an inflammatory skin disease caused by the causative agent of typhoid fever Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serotype Typhi.

The disease develops in people with weakened immunity and a tendency to allergic reactions.

It appears in the form of nodules and tubercles in the face, neck and upper chest, less often in the abdomen.

Treatment is carried out with antibacterial drugs, as well as immunocorrection and the use of immunomodulators.
