Umbilical Tenderloin Liver

The umbilical notch is the edge of the liver facing the notch in the right ilium through which the ureter passes. On the surface of this notch are the openings of the cystic duct, forming two small semilunae - the semilunar fold. Through these openings, the porta hepatis, pass bile ducts and blood vessels leading to the liver.

The human liver is one of the largest organs of the human body. It has different shapes and sizes, which depend on the individual characteristics of the body. Normally, the human liver cannot be palpated, because it is hidden under other internal organs - the stomach, intestines. Less commonly, it may protrude slightly under the skin in certain pathologies.
