Soothing gel for the skin around the eyes

The skin around the eyes needs constant care. Under the influence of various factors, it quickly loses firmness and elasticity, recovers more slowly, and increasingly looks tired and stale. Mary Kay Soothing Gel for the skin around the eyes will help you cope with this problem, which perfectly tones, strengthens, and reduces swelling around the eyes.

In addition, following some basic rules in using cosmetics will save your skin from many troubles. For example, never apply facial products to the eye area. Why? The skin in this area is completely different from the skin on other parts of the face: it is thinner, more sensitive, and almost without fat. These products can either be too rich and cause fatty spots to appear, or due to moisture retention they can lead to puffiness under the eyes. So, to care for the skin around your eyes, use cosmetics designed specifically for this purpose. They will help:

Hides signs of fatigue well.

Poor hydration gel alone is not enough as a care product.

I used the product for about two years, for me it was a lifesaver. The skin is normal, without any special problems. As a lover of drinking a lot of tea at night and not getting enough sleep, I often wake up in the morning with all the ensuing consequences - swollen eyes, dark circles. In especially advanced cases, only the gel saved. I applied it as soon as I got up, left it for 15-30 minutes, then washed my face and used basic care. Plus storage exclusively in the refrigerator to enhance the effect. With this approach, the result was tangible. Applying it at night was useless.

One gel as a care product was not enough for me it tightened the skin and did not moisturize it enough. But as a reliever from puffy eyes, it’s an excellent remedy. I was tested a couple of times in extreme situations - nights of sobbing. In tandem with tea bags, it erased all the consequences as if by magic.

It also caused an allergy in a friend, as mentioned here, but she has such a reaction to almost all gel products. I didn't have any problems.

The consumption is very economical, you need very little product, it is well distributed and quickly absorbed. Perhaps the only Mary Kay product that I would purchase again to help in the situations described, but not as primary care.

Light, refreshing, non-sticky, quickly absorbed.

Caused a severe allergic reaction.

I received this gel as a gift when it first appeared in the Mary Kay product line. The skin around my eyes is prone to oiliness and breakouts additional oils cause makeup to crease, so I needed a light, watery gel that would refresh and moisturize without making my skin extra oily.
The consistency of the product is very pleasant, watery, non-sticky, and appears to be a transparent bluish gel. I couldn’t detect the smell it seemed to me that the product was odorless. When applied, it is quickly absorbed, does not leave a film, and does not conflict with decorative products. Upon first application, half an hour after application, the eyes began to feel tired, stinging, and “sandy.” I chalked it up to windy weather, since I had never experienced allergies before.
The next day, the time before the onset of unpleasant sensations decreased and I consciously began to take a closer look at what I was applying. I suspected the cream, but was not sure. The third time put everything in its place - I only managed to apply the gel to 1 eye and it immediately began to itch and water. Even though I washed off the product, a reddish rash appeared at the application site. The rash lasted about an hour and went away.
I would also like to note that my skin is not sensitive and not prone to allergies, so it was not possible to find out which exact ingredient led to such a reaction, however, it seems to me that this is definitely some kind of Mary Kay branded ingredient, since the second case of an allergy in life, which I encountered, was also on the products of this company.

Irritates the eyes and is not absorbed at all.

I bought the cream about 3 years ago and recently threw away the rest. I gave him a chance many times, but alas. It is a gel-jelly of a bright turquoise color. Claimed to moisturize, cool, smooth and relieve signs of fatigue. Unfortunately, it did none of the above in my case. I am 37 years old, I have facial wrinkles and sometimes swelling. After the first application, and it is applied exactly like jelly, with some kind of lumps, the cream simply dried out and turned into a film that pulled my eyelids together))). After a while my eyes started to itch, after that I washed it off, I had to rub it because... The cream did not give up and did not want to wash off. I put it in the refrigerator, after 2 months I decided to apply it again, the effect was the same, only my eyes didn’t itch. I honestly tried to make friends with him many more times (both in winter and summer), but apparently it’s not my thing. I can't recommend buying it.

Cools, pleasant to the touch and smell.

I met a fellow gel at a consultation. From the very first seconds I liked it - the smell, the color, and the consistency. There was an instant freshness before our eyes, which quickly developed into an “onion effect”. At first I said that I applied it close to the mucous membrane, but after I washed it off, nothing changed. Afterwards, swelling formed, which went away after three days. There were six of us - two of us had the same story. I didn’t find any patterns - complete randomness. So the effect proposed by the manufacturer is there, but the allergy was terrible.

The gel has a light blue tint, despite its small volume, it is quite economical, the smell is light and almost imperceptible. It refreshes the skin around the eyes well, makes the eyes rested, relieves puffiness, and also moisturizes the skin. For mature skin, the moisturizing properties of this gel will probably not be enough, but you can use it only in the morning to refresh your look. Mary Kay Indulge Soothing Eye Gel suits me in every way.

Refreshes and moisturizes, economical.

It’s easy to overdo it, the packaging is unpractical and unhygienic.

This product really perfectly relieves signs of fatigue after a sleepless night or long work at the computer, and moisturizes the skin. Like all gels, it slightly cools the skin when applied. The gel can be applied even over makeup, it will not spoil it, but I still prefer to apply care products to previously cleansed and moisturized skin.
The packaging is a small, heavy jar made of frosted glass with a plastic screw-on lid. The disadvantage of the packaging is that you need to use a spatula to remove the product, which is not very convenient and hygienic.
The gel is very economical, I never have time to use it completely before the expiration date. You only need to apply a little bit, otherwise there will be some stickiness left. I take a little gel, distribute it between the ring fingers of both hands and apply it with patting movements along the massage lines.
To summarize, I will say that this is an excellent SOS product that I have been using with pleasure for several years now.
