Wallgren's Paracavernous Rales

Wallgren's Paracavernous Porosis or Wallgren's rales (Wallgren's) is a type of breathing noise that may be associated with lung damage. This type of wheezing occurs when air moves through narrow tubes in the lungs, causing multiple sounds to be made with each inhalation and exhalation.

The inventor of this term was the Swedish doctor A. J. Wallgren, and he described it in 1893. Wallgrain's paracavernacles is a term used to describe the type of noise made when the lungs are affected
