The vein of the left atrium or the vein of the oblique septum (Vena ovalis) connects the right and left atrium in the upper left corner of the interatrium space. This vein is a special lateral branch of the vein of the fossa ovale. The left uvula of the heart is in contact with the right wall of the middle part of the atrium, separating the superior and inferior cone of the atrialis. The wall of the right atrium does not contain the foramen ovale vein. The lateral venous vessel is located laterally in the pericardial wall, below the apex and longitudinal axis of the atria. Under the middle valve of the myocardium, the arterial vessels supplying it are tightly adjacent to the vein of the oval valve.
