The superior epigastric vein is one of the paired deep veins in the anterior wall of the abdomen. It is a branch of the superior epigastric vein, located on the neck and chest wall. This vein collects blood from the upper chest, abdominal wall and pelvis. It receives part of the venous blood from the chest wall through the veins of the sternocostal tract and subclavian space.
