Vienna Palatine

The palatine vein (lat. v. palatinae) is a paired short vein that collects blood from the anterior part of the hard palate. In humans, the anterior part of the palatohyoid muscle is attached to the anterior edges of the small veins of the palatine processes, and this entire structure is attached to the posterior part of the palatohyoid bone, which, together with the hyoid muscle, forms the floor of the oral cavity. This space is called the anterior part of the hard palate, or the hard palate behind the teeth. The arch of the lower jaw passes through its upper section, and the body of the jugular bone passes through the lower section. On the palate, more convexly facing forward, there are two elevations, the more inferior - the palatine process of the body of the jugular bone, located from the anterior edge of the large palatine foramen, and the posterior -
