Composition: Active substance: Ifosfamide.

Indications for use: Inoperable malignant tumors (mono- and combination therapy), including cancer of the lung, ovaries, testicles, breast, cervix, pancreas, soft tissue sarcoma, childhood tumors (sarcoma, Wilms tumor, neuroblastoma, germ cell tumors, malignant lymphoma).

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, severe bone marrow hypoplasia, renal dysfunction, hypoproteinemia, pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Side effects: Encephalopathy, disorientation, confusion, inhibition of bone marrow hematopoiesis with changes in the cellular composition of peripheral blood (leukopenia up to 700-3600/mm3 and thrombocytopenia), impaired liver and kidney function, increased levels of creatinine and urea in plasma, cystitis; nausea, vomiting, reversible alopecia, decreased immunity, dysfunction of the gonads, development of secondary tumors.

Interaction: Compatible with other antitumor agents. Increases the hypoglycemic effect of antidiabetic drugs. Allopurinol enhances myelosuppression.

Overdose: Characterized by the rapid development and sharp severity of the main side effects. Treatment: symptomatic, with mandatory use of uromitexan.

Special instructions: Monitoring the cellular composition of peripheral blood and the severity of side effects is mandatory. Before treatment, it is necessary to restore the outflow of urine, sanitize foci of chronic infection, and correct water and electrolyte metabolism.
