Virusuria

Virusura is medicine that studies the nature and specificity of viral infections, the possibility of their diagnosis and treatment. It can also be called “virology” (ancient Greek ἔντεος - “stage”, lat. virus - “poison”). Translated from Latin, the word “virus” means a harmful microorganism or single-celled parasite that causes infection and limits plant growth. At the same time, viruria is also called medicine, which studies viruses. For a long time, the science about them was specific and narrowly focused. In the 19th century, we had to change our approach and begin to describe the phenomena occurring in living matter. In fact, this is how a separate science appeared - virology. Over time, it grew into an independent direction with an extensive subject of research and became a full-fledged science, and in terms of functions it almost equaled even bacteriology and, especially, biochemistry.
