Women with high IQs are more susceptible to alcoholism

Scientists from the USA and Great Britain conducted a study that showed that the level of intelligence and the tendency to alcoholism are interrelated. The higher a person's IQ, the more susceptible they are to alcohol addiction.

Although scientists cannot yet explain this relationship, they argue that the connection between intelligence and alcoholism is obvious.

In the experiment, participants were divided into 5 groups depending on their IQ level. Then they studied how often and in what quantities they drank alcohol. It turned out that the smartest people drink the most and most often than others. While people with average intelligence did not show a tendency to drink alcohol regularly.

Previously, British scientists also noted that women with higher education drink 2 times more than their less educated colleagues. Thus, we can conclude that women with high IQs are indeed more susceptible to alcoholism.
