Incidence 1

Incidence 1 refers to the prevalence of disease in a particular area or community. The average incidence rate for the entire country (as a percentage) is calculated. It characterizes the number of cases in a certain area. Diseased people are considered to be people who have experienced a certain disease. One contact with a carrier or patient in the family is taken into account.

Morbidity is the prevalence of a disease among the population and its individual groups over a certain period of time, usually a year. A high incidence rate may be a sign of vulnerability in society as a whole, but does not mean a crisis in a particular area of medicine. Typically, in such cases, doctors recommend a full range of studies and measures (in addition to drug therapy) aimed at eliminating possible risk factors for relapse or an atypical course of the disease. As a rule, this is the prescription of immunomodulators, which play an important role in strengthening the body's defenses.
