Linnartz clamp

The Linaarzzi clamp is a medical clamp used during certain types of operations, such as laparoscopy.

This clamp secures organs in a certain position during surgical manipulation, but after completion of the manipulation itself, the clamp is removed. The clamp consists of two levers that are fixed on a plastic or metal

The Linnatzart clamp is a well-known orthodontic instrument used in orthognathic dental surgery. The clamp combines convenience and efficiency for correcting the patient's dentition. It copes well with its main task, cutting the soft tissues of the tongue and cheeks at the right angle.

The clamp was developed by German dentist Erich Linnartz. He actively used this device in his works, as he conceived it as a simpler and more effective solution compared to the already known jaw taxes, which was due to the often long and labor-intensive process of teeth straightening.

The usual method of tissue separation leads to rapid healing of the wound, without much scarring. This is one of the main advantages of this type of surgery and direct evidence that the Linnatzart clamp can indeed be considered the best method for stretching soft tissue. Today, another version of the use of this clamp is widespread, known as the “5 mm pull” method (also the “22 mm” method or as the “5 mm”). But this is not the correct way to use this tool. Firstly, the main point when using the Linnatzert clamp is that it is applied only 2-3 mm into the oral cavity. Well, secondly, as it turned out, this method of operation is simply a marketing ploy. In fact, an experienced dentist must not have seen anyone make teeth 5 millimeters with a clamp. Such an extreme technique cannot ensure reliable fastening. It is usually recommended for people with excess soft tissue, but in reality it is often not
