CC cream is a true all-rounder and complex functional product. It most often includes the following ingredients:

reflective particles that allow pigments to adapt to skin tone and even it out due to the optical effect;

antioxidants, vitamins, active ingredients;

sun filters against rays types A and B.

CC cream with SPF is the best choice both as a makeup base and as a daytime product for summer care. If you can’t afford a flawless tone even on the beach, choose a sunscreen CC cream.

Yesterday, the scientific director of Clinique, Emmanuelle Moirand, came to Moscow to present a new product to the editors: Superdefense CC Cream SPF30.

I was supposed to interview Emmanuelle, but after the presentation I almost ended up in the hospital with appendicitis, so Emmanuelle gave interviews to everyone except me -(.

Emmanuelle interestingly talked about the fact that not only the world is changing around us, but our skin is also changing. The population, firstly, is aging, and secondly, we are too busy and want multifunctional products that provide both an immediate visual effect and long-term care.

The cream, which will be released this June, is Clinique Superdefense Color Correcting Cream SPF30. Its main task is to improve the complexion immediately after application, filling it with radiance, as well as moisturize and protect from sun rays (I’m glad that Clinique does not waste time on trifles and puts a decent level of SPF in its products).

The main question that worried everyone was how cc cream differs from bb cream (which I dearly love, which I have written about several times). Emmanuelle replied that cc cream primarily works on the complexion, the result of makeup is different: bb cream is more matte, and cc cream brightens, refreshes and allows the skin to better reflect light, giving that same radiance (the holy grail of the beauty industry in the last couple of years there has been this glow).

Then PR Director of Clinique in Russia Lida Bondarenko further explained that the cream uses technology for correcting skin tone using double-layer optical particles of a lavender hue. These particles both remove the redness characteristic of the skin of European women, and the yellowness of the skin of Asian women, and hide the earthy tint, which, in my opinion, can be found in all races. Optical particles mask and scatter light across the face.

As for care qualities: for moisturizing, the composition contains hyaluronic acid and moisture-retaining components trehalose and sorbitol; for protection - solar filters from UVA/UVB rays; and many antioxidants - vitamin E, rosemary, nordihydroguaiac acid and ascorbyl tocopherol maleate. According to Clinique research, 68% of girls who tried this facial moisturizer agreed that it corrected their complexion. It also increases skin hydration by 65%.

I asked if it was possible to use the cream in the area around the eyes - Emmanuelle said yes. And I also asked what level of camouflage the cream provides. The answer was a little vague, from which we can conclude that the coverage is light to medium, and cover up anything that is not covered with concealers.

There will be 6 shades in the world, only 3 of them will be brought to us. At the presentation I tried light medium and it turned out to be quite orange. But they gave me the lightest one, Very Light, and I sincerely hope that this shade is included in the three chosen for Russia, because it is really very light (maybe even too light! -)).

The texture of the new product is a little powdery. But I’ll write more about this when I try it.
