You can recognize the first signs of infection, which may occur in the next two days after the injury: • the area around the wound swells, turns red and becomes warmer to the touch; • in this place the victim can feel throbbing pain. A serious infection leads to an increase in temperature and deterioration of the patient's condition. Sometimes red stripes are observed on the skin, radiating from the wound. In this case, consult your doctor. Keep the wound clean by covering it with a bandage.
