Acauliosis of the Skin

As strange as it may seem, people of different ages can become infected with acauliosis, the majority of patients are women.

The cause of the disease is considered to be infection with the sheeppox virus, which enters the body through microcracks. The skin disease is rare, code in the international classification ICD-10: B08.0 and has another name: “contagious skin eczema”. It is caused by a scabies mite that has entered the skin, resulting in an inflammatory process. The incubation period ranges from 20 to 60 days. Pathology can manifest itself at any time of the year, but the greatest activity is observed in spring and autumn. The disease is popularly called “tick-borne dermatitis.” The affected areas are usually very itchy.
