Angina Fibrinous

Fibrinous tonsillitis is an acute infectious disease that is manifested by inflammation of the tonsils and the formation of a fibrinous film on their surface. This disease is caused by a bacterial infection, usually group A streptococcus.

Symptoms of fibrinous tonsillitis include sore throat, fever, headache, weakness, loss of appetite and swollen lymph nodes. A fibrinous film forms on the tonsils, which can be white, yellow or greenish. This film is made of fibrin, a protein that is formed in response to inflammation.
