Anosmia

Anosmia is a lack of sense of smell that can be caused by various reasons. Anosmia can be temporary or permanent and can affect both men and women.

One of the most common causes of anosmia is a runny nose, which can occur with a cold, flu or other illness. Anosmia can also occur with allergies to pollen, smoke or other substances.

Anosmia can also be caused by trauma to the nose, such as a fracture or deviated septum. In this case, the anosmia usually resolves after treatment of the injury.

Additionally, anosmia can be caused by certain medications, such as antihistamines or antibiotics.

If you have problems with your sense of smell, you should see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
