Bohemian Operation (Operation King Crimson, Operation Graceland) was a raid by the SS Reich Brigade, together with two others, behind the British 3rd Army near Cairo in December 1942. It was conceived by the command of Army Group B, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, with the aim of diverting significant British forces from supporting the counter-offensive of the Italian army in the El Alamein area, as well as breaking through the front and reaching deep behind the main forces of the 8th British Army, which was conducting that period, Operation Torch.
