Seizure Cataplectic

A cataplexy seizure is a sudden and short-term state of disorder of coordinated movements due to damage to motor nerve centers. Characterized by loss of the ability to produce active movements or maintain voluntary muscle contractions while maintaining voluntary consciousness.

Occurs when pathological foci occur in the brain stem or in the cerebral cortex, as well as during inflammatory processes of the central nervous system or after hemorrhages in the cerebral hemispheres.
