Cholangiolitis

Cholangiolitis is an inflammatory disease of the smallest bile ducts known as cholangioles. Cholangioles are small tubes that connect bile ducts to bile capillaries, and they play an important role in the secretion of bile from the liver and its transport to the intestines.

Cholangiolitis can be caused by various factors, including infections, autoimmune diseases, impaired blood circulation in the bile duct tissue, and other reasons. Symptoms of cholangiolitis may include jaundice, pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, nausea, vomiting, fever and general weakness.

Diagnosis of cholangiolitis may include methods such as ultrasound examination of the bile ducts, magnetic resonance cholangiography (MRC) and computed tomography (CT). Treatment for cholangiolitis depends on its cause and may include antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, immunomodulators, and procedures to widen or remove blockages in the bile ducts.

Certain factors may increase the risk of developing cholangiolitis, such as diabetes, cirrhosis of the liver, immune system disorders, and long-term use of certain medications. Therefore, it is important to lead a healthy lifestyle, monitor your health and be regularly examined by a doctor.

It should also be noted that cholangiolitis can lead to various complications, such as gallstones, biliary peritonitis and others. Therefore, it is important to promptly seek medical help if symptoms appear.

Cholangiolitis is an inflammation of the small bile ducts (choledochus) as a result of infection (viral, bacterial or fungal) or exposure to drugs or allergens that affect the wall of the bile duct. Symptoms of cholangitis may include pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, nausea, vomiting, and itchy skin.

The bile ducts (or biles for short) are located in the liver and play an important role in digestion. Bile is synthesized by liver cells as a bile substance that is secreted directly into the intestinal wall area. Bile secretions must penetrate through segments of the gallbladder, which serves as a container for its storage. After

Pathology becomes a complication of the treatment of other diseases and manifests itself as symptoms depending on its degree. More details
