Curantyl N75 (Dipyridamole)

Curantil N75 (Dipyridamole): an effective antiplatelet agent

Curantil N75, also known by the international name Dipyridamole, is a medication belonging to the pharmacological group of antiplatelet agents. It is widely used for the prevention of thromboembolic complications and the treatment of various cardiovascular diseases. Curantil N75 is produced by Berlin-Chemie AG in Germany and is one of the most common drugs in its category.

Dipyridamole, the active ingredient of the drug, has a number of useful properties. It helps reduce platelet aggregation (cells responsible for the formation of blood clots) and dilate blood vessels. This improves blood supply to the heart and other organs, as well as prevents the formation of blood clots in the circulatory system.

Curantil N75 is used in the following cases:

  1. Prevention of thromboembolic syndrome after heart valve replacement surgery.
  2. Prevention of occlusion of stents and coronary artery bypass grafts (in combination with aspirin).
  3. Treatment and prevention of disseminated intravascular coagulation syndrome in children with infectious toxicosis and septicemia.
  4. Peripheral vascular lesions.
  5. Prevention of placental insufficiency during complicated pregnancy.
  6. Three-component treatment of glomerulonephritis.
  7. Platelet suppression syndrome in children.
  8. Carrying out dipyridamole-thallium-201 perfusion scintigraphy with physical activity.
  9. Dipyridamole stress echocardiography.

Like any medicine, Curantil N75 has contraindications and possible side effects. The drug is not recommended for use in cases of hypersensitivity to its components, acute myocardial infarction, severe atherosclerotic lesions of the coronary vessels with a developed collateral system, predisposition to hypotension, severe intraventricular conduction disorders, severe arterial hypertension, severe liver dysfunction, hemorrhagic diathesis, obstructive pulmonary diseases, as well as in the II and III trimesters of pregnancy and in children under 12 years of age.

Possible side effects of Curantil N75 may include nausea, abdominal discomfort, headache, redness of the skin, arterial hypotension, arrhythmia, allergic reactions and others. If you experience any unpleasant symptoms or side effects while taking Curantyl N75, it is recommended that you consult a doctor.
