Diuresis Daily

Daily urine output (DUR) is a method for assessing the efficiency of the kidneys and urinary tract. It consists of measuring the volume and concentration of urine collected during the day. This method allows you to determine the presence of diseases of the urinary organs, such as urolithiasis, glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis and others.

How is the research conducted? All urine per day is collected from the patient, based on the volume allocated in 24 hours, using a measuring container (bucket). Most often, the patient collects material on an hourly basis from 6:00 to 23:00 minutes; in addition, all present daytime urine is measured by the volume of clear broth released and the volume of urination is separately prescribed.

Urine collection is carried out in a separate sterile container. Women's pads are measured when collecting material, if there has been discharge, and at the same time a diary of menstruation is kept. The results of the study are provided with an assessment of the study by a urologist or nephrologist. The patient is given a card where daily urine is recorded for 4 days and the smallest volume is measured. Depending on the previously collected data, the sample is collected over 7 days.
