Asthmatic Condition

An asthmatic condition is a condition when a person experiences an attack of shortness of breath or becomes difficult to breathe as a result of spasm and swelling of the bronchial muscles and the appearance of a “plug” zone in the bronchi. Such an attack occurs due to the accumulation of thick sputum in the bronchi, loss of fluid through coughing and urination, as well as the accumulation and release of allergens or toxic substances into the body through the blood supply to the respiratory center.

Status asthmaticus is asthmatic attacks that appear one after another without a temporary break to restore breathing. The appearance of this status indicates a severe course of the asthma attack and the lack of adequate treatment. This condition can be fatal. When visiting a doctor, you should describe your current symptoms in detail; it is possible that treatment has already been prescribed by a doctor, but it was not effective enough or was not carried out at all. It is important to describe the course of medication, dosage and reason for stopping treatment.
