Ecthyma Perforating

Ecthymas are deep ulcerations on the skin and mucous membranes that have irregular outlines. There are ecthyma gangrenous and perforating (diphtheroid). Ecthyma perforating is also called frostbite eczema. The causative agent of this form of the disease is “group A” hemolytic streptococcus.

Etiology (causes of occurrence) - more often we are talking about contamination of the skin with excretory products. Infectious agents include mycobacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, bacteria, etc. Diphtheroid forms are caused by staphylococcus. Stress is another common cause of pathology. As a result of prolonged intoxication, disturbances in the functioning of the nervous system occur, and the skin becomes vulnerable to external factors. Poor nutrition, hypothermia, weakened immunity contribute to the penetration of pathogenic organisms and the development of infections. Bacteria and fungus are found in dust, sand, on plants and soil and, together with dirt particles, easily land on an area of the body that has been damaged or is damaged. It does not matter whether the area of skin is dry or wet, it is a favorable environment for the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms.
