Enap R

Enap-R is a medicine that is used to treat hypertension. It belongs to the group of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs). Enap-R is produced by Krka d.d. (Slovenia).

Enap-R is available in the form of a solution for intravenous administration. Its concentration is 1.25 mg/ml. This means that each milliliter of solution contains 1.25 milligrams of enalaprilat.

Enalaprilat is the main active ingredient of Enap-R. It blocks the action of angiotensin II, which is the hormone responsible for increasing blood pressure. Enalaprilat also reduces levels of aldosterone, a hormone that can also increase blood pressure.

The use of Enap-R is indicated for various forms of hypertension, including essential, renal and cardiac. The drug can also be used to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
