Epithelialization

Epithelization in medicine is the restoration of the entire surface of an organ, tissue, mucous membrane covered with epithelium.

This process begins with wound healing. This process is called wound epithelization. After completion, the first stage begins a new one - provisional (intermediate) epithelization. It goes through three phases and ends with the third stage, when the basement membrane is formed. The provisional (transitional) layer in the early stages consists of delicate squamous columnar epithelium, and
