Ergography

An ergogram is a graphical representation of the work load on a worker during his working day, week, year or other duration. The work schedule determines the volume and intensity of production work, including the greatest likelihood of labor overload. It is expressed in the form of a curve, where the intensity of labor is plotted horizontally and the time it takes to complete the work vertically.

The flatter and closer to the horizontal the line, the less tension among workers. On the contrary, the steeper the line of the work activity graph, the greater the likelihood of nervous and physical overstrain when performing a given production function. To facilitate the analysis of production loads, graphics processing methods are used, such as decomposing it into components in order to highlight two main quantities: the values of the duration of work and the amount of labor required to perform a specific job. It is this indicator that answers the question about the amount of labor effort spent on performing work per unit of time.
