Evitol

Evitol is a drug that is used to treat various diseases associated with a lack of vitamin E (tocopherol). It is produced in the form of dragees or lozenges and contains the active substance – topherol acetate.

Indications for the use of Evitol are as follows: muscular dystrophy, deformation of the joints and spinal column, treatment of secondary myonitis, sepsis during fever, arthritis, prostatitis, uterine diseases, weakened immunity, age-related problems, restoration of muscles after muscular dystrophy. The only contraindication for use is hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

In case of overdose of the drug, symptoms may include creatinine, diarrhea and stomach pain. Treatment is symptomatic, it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids and reduce the dose of the drug.

Evitol is produced in Slovenia by the company "Krka d.d." in the form of dragees and lozenges. It is marketed under the brand name "Evitol". The main competitors for Evitol in this area are its analogues of the same name from different manufacturers around the world. Another popular analogue is VitEkea from several manufacturers.

Evitol is dispensed with a prescription from the attending physician, but can be available without it when purchased at a retail pharmacy upon presentation of a medical certificate or a record of the prescription of the vitamin in the doctor’s diary.
