First aid for fainting

Treatment for fainting begins with basic first aid principles. You should not jump to the conclusion that it is just fainting, since fainting may indicate a serious life-threatening problem, such as severe shock or cardiac arrest. Always check for signs of life to ensure that the victim's life is not in danger. Give help as if you were in shock. If you have any doubt about the cause of fainting, call “03”.
Fainting usually goes away on its own, and the victim regains consciousness within one to two minutes.
