Goiter Cystic

The name “cystic goiter” is generally accepted and does not require any clarification.

In most cases, cystic goiter is a congenital pathology of the thyroid gland, sometimes it develops during life. Epidemiological studies have found that the incidence of the disease is about 13% of all cancers or 34.9% of all malignant thyroid tumors in people aged 45 years and older. Cystic goiter is more common in women than in men. The peak incidence occurs in adolescence - 98-101 years.

Now the disease cystic goiter can be considered a benign tumor and only in 5 percent of cases the disease becomes malignant.
