Gracioli bun is a bun of hair growing on the head in the shape of the silhouette of the letter “G”. It got its name thanks to Gaetano Galeazzo da Gracioli, who first described it in one of his medical textbooks in the 16th century. This is one of the most characteristic elements of the appearance of the Mediterranean basin and the Middle East region. The Graciole bun is still seen in some people today. In more than 80% of cases, this element appears on the scalp. In approximately one third of cases, it goes away on its own, that is, without surgical intervention. There are rare forms that will require hair plucking to promote the growth of the graciel.
