Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is one of the common diseases that manifests itself in men as breast enlargement. This medical condition can occur in both teenage and adult men.

The cause of gynecomastia may be a hormonal imbalance in a man’s body. This may occur due to an increase in the level of female sex hormones (estrogens) or a decrease in the level of male sex hormones (testosterone). Gynecomastia can also be caused by taking various medications that affect the level of hormones in the body.

Symptoms of gynecomastia include increased breast size, breast tenderness or tenderness, and breast thickening. In some cases, milk may leak from the nipples.

Diagnosis of gynecomastia requires a medical examination, including blood tests for hormone levels, breast ultrasound, and, if necessary, a mammogram.

Treatment for gynecomastia depends on the cause of its occurrence. In some cases, lifestyle changes, including reducing alcohol consumption and smoking, can help manage the condition. In other cases, hormone therapy or even surgery may be required.

In general, gynecomastia is not a dangerous condition, but it can cause discomfort and some emotional problems in men. If you suspect gynecomastia, consult your doctor for advice and diagnosis.

Gynecomastia refers to the presence of sexual hair on a man's face, the presence of large mammary glands in a normal man, and the presence of a scanty beard in a man with large mammary glands. Heavy facial hair, hairy chest and scrotum are referred to as masculinism. Sometimes the presence of sexual hair on the face, the development of the pectoral muscles and scrotum are referred to as gynandrizm. The disease often occurs in people with disrupted menstrual cycles while taking hormonal medications.
