Does your child have nightmares? Explain to your little coward that ghosts and monsters live only in a person’s imagination. Therefore, they can be controlled by simply ordering them to disappear. Tell him that this can be done even mentally. However, sometimes additional help is needed.
Offer your child some special anti-ghost remedy. You can take a small bag of magic powder (flour, talcum powder, powdered sugar - anything will do). You need to sprinkle the powder on the edges of the bed to convince him that he is protected from the monster. You can spray it in the air, giving the mist a light, pleasant smell. Or sprinkle magic water from a bottle around the bed, after adding a few drops of vanillin or mint.
Touching your face. Some children especially like to be soothed in this way before bed. Having finished the evening conversation and turning off the light, gently run your hand over the baby’s face - along the eyebrows, around the cheeks, above the upper lip, along the chin and across the forehead - quietly saying: “Sleep well until the morning.”
