Ileitis Retrograde

Retrograde ileitis is a rare inflammatory pathology, the distinctive features of which are the penetration of the pathological process from the intestine into the return passage and lymph nodes, as well as the involvement of some visceral organs in the inflammation. It is found less frequently than primary visceral ileitis, mainly in people under 45 years of age, occurs annually in 0.06-0.4 cases per 1 million population and accounts for 18% of all chronic lymphoid inflammatory processes of the intestine.

According to NIIDI, 80-90% of patients have a recurrent course of the disease, continuous – in 26%.
