Induction

Induction is the process of starting artificially induced labor in obstetrics. It can be medical or surgical, depending on what methods are used to carry it out.

Medical induction is accomplished with medications such as prostaglandins and oxytocin. These drugs stimulate uterine contractions, which leads to the onset of labor. Surgical induction is performed by artificially opening the membranes (amniotomy) and administering oxytocin.

Induction of labor is performed in cases where the life of the mother or fetus is in danger. This may be due to various factors, such as preeclampsia, gestosis, premature placental abruption, intrauterine infection, etc.

In anesthesiology, induction refers to the process of administering anesthesia. General anesthesia is usually induced by intravenous injection of narcotic drugs or short-term anesthetics such as thiopentone.

Induction is the process of starting artificially induced labor in obstetrics or administering anesthesia in anesthesiology. In obstetric practice, induction is used to speed up labor if the life of the mother or fetus is in danger. This can be done with medications such as prostaglandin or oxytocin. Surgical induction may include amniotomy of membranes and oxytocin.

In anesthesia practice, induction is performed to put the patient into a state of general anesthesia before surgery. Induction is usually accomplished by intravenous administration of an anesthetic or narcotic such as thiopentone.

The “Induction” section in obstetric practice is called the beginning of induced labor (L.S. Persianinov, 1977), as well as the beginning of independent labor, or “primary clinical conjugate”, and it is not always used, but only from 41 weeks of pregnancy in that case when it is necessary to speed up childbirth to save the life or health of the mother in the presence of any complications. In case of full-term pregnancy and the presence of indications “on the mother’s side” for the intrapartum period, the birth performed meets a number of requirements. **Main condition
