Candidamycosis

Candidiasis is a disease caused by a fungus of the genus Candida, which is widespread in nature and is usually found in the mouth, intestines and vagina of many healthy people.

Oral candidiasis occurs in 5% of people. In places where its content is high, there is swelling, itching and burning of the affected areas, as well as an accumulation of small bubbles and cheesy whitish deposits on the lips, cheeks, and tongue. Neoplasms can be in the form of spots, and against the background of non-atrophic gingivitis or sclerotic glossitis they have a pronounced inflammatory effect. These are mixed with small abscesses and swelling of the enlarged papillae of the back of the tongue. Bleeding gums and the formation of periodontal pockets are noted.
