Fecal calculus

A stone is a stone or other object in the intestines that forms from undigested food debris. Stones often form in the large intestine, but can also form in the small intestine or gallbladder. Depending on the cause and location of the stone, it can be of different shapes and sizes.

The causes of fecal stones can vary, including:

* Poor gut hygiene * Older age * Poor diet * Gastrointestinal diseases such as gastric or duodenal ulcers

Most people do not notice the formation of stones until they become large and block the lumen of the intestines or gallbladder. In this case, surgery may be required to remove the stone.
