Band-Aid

An adhesive plaster (also known as adhesive tape) is an adhesive tape used to apply to the skin for the purpose of protecting minor cuts, abrasions, or securing bandages.

An adhesive plaster consists of a flexible base, usually cotton fabric, impregnated with an adhesive composition, most often based on natural or synthetic rubbers. The adhesive substance allows the adhesive plaster to adhere tightly to the skin, but at the same time be easily removed from it without damage.

There are different types of adhesive plaster - waterproof, hypoallergenic, colored and with patterns for children. They differ in the composition of the adhesive and base. Adhesive plaster is widely used both for medical purposes and at home for minor injuries.
