Foam cleanser is the most common means for cleansing the skin of impurities and cosmetics. Unlike gel, foam has a more pleasant texture, penetrates deeper into the pores, and does not leave the skin feeling dry or tight. The rating of the best foam cleansers presents popular and effective products that have a beneficial effect on the condition of the skin.
How to choose a foam for washing
You also need to approach the purchase of such a seemingly simple product as foam. And it’s not a matter of price - decent washbasins are found not only in luxury, although finding one among mass-market goods is indeed a little more difficult. First of all, you need to look at the composition of the product!
The fact is that foams with cheap aggressive components, along with dust and dirt, also wash away the natural protection of the skin - the lipid barrier that retains water in the tissues. But the presence of soft surfactants that gently and carefully cleanse the face indicates the good quality of the foam for washing. It can be:
- Coco-Betaine (coco-betaine);
- Coco-Glucoside (coco-glucoside);
- Cocamidopropyl Betaine (cocamidopropyl betaine);
- Carpylyl/Capryl Glucoside (caprylyl/capryl glucoside).
In addition, it is good if the foam also contains various acids (Acid) - for example, lactic, salicylic, glycolic, as well as natural oils. This will allow you to cleanse your skin more deeply while washing, soften it and even out your complexion.
And our rating, compiled based on reviews from experts and ordinary customers, will help you choose a good foam of a particular brand.

In today's review, I would like to tell you about the antibacterial cleansing gel from Mediva. The thing is that lately I have become accustomed to cleansing my facial skin with mousses, foams, etc., in general, products with a light texture. But I don’t like to use one type of cosmetics for a long time, and so I decided to look for some new cleanser that would suit my oily skin type. I chose a cleansing gel from a brand new to me, Mediva, which I purchased at a local pharmacy. By the way, this brand has a fairly wide range of cosmetics, and I was surprised that I had not heard of it before.
Why did I choose this particular gel?
Firstly, because it is suitable for problematic, oily skin, which is what I have. Secondly, the manufacturer indicated that the gel has an antibacterial effect designed to fight acne and prevent skin inflammation. In addition, the price of this gel, including the discount, was only 180 rubles. All these aspects seemed very attractive to me and pushed me to purchase this product.
The bottle volume is 150 ml - not so much, but not too little. With daily twice-time use, I think 3 months should be enough.
The shelf life is 2 years from the date of production, while the gel can be stored for 6 months if opened.
The manufacturer of this product is the Russian company Orbita SP. There is also a note that this product has been tested for effectiveness in clinical studies.
Now as for the gel itself and the results of its use.
The consistency of the gel is homogeneous, not too thick, but not at all liquid. The color is absolutely transparent. And what is the aroma? Floral, light, unobtrusive, very pleasant. You can fall in love with the gel just for the scent alone!
I try to cleanse my skin every day, twice. Still, dust, dirt, and excess sebum accumulated throughout the day may not have the most beneficial effect on the skin, so you shouldn’t be lazy here.
In terms of using this gel, everything is quite simple and standard - unscrew the dispenser, press and squeeze out the required amount of gel. I prefer to “rub” it a little on my palms, only then apply it to the skin. Apply to damp skin, massage, then rinse with water. As a result, the skin becomes clean, fresh, and pleasant. It seems as if she has become a little lighter. And most importantly - no feeling of tightness or “creaking”! On the contrary, it is a very gentle and gentle cleansing, thanks to which the stratum corneum does not suffer.
There are controversial issues regarding the composition. The well-known service Ecoholic gel from Mediva does not approve, apparently due to the sodium laureth sulfate, cocamide, and citrate laureth included in the composition:
But still, it is not so bad, since it contains a mild surfactant, cocoglycoside, as well as glycolic and salicylic acids, witch hazel extract and allantoin.
Glycolic acid is known for its exfoliating, brightening, and softening properties. Thanks to this acid, deep cleansing of the skin is ensured.
Salicylic acid cleanses pores and regulates the functioning of the sebaceous glands. It is not surprising that there are entire series of cosmetics based on salicylic acid.
Witch hazel extract heals, relieves irritation, cleanses, tightens pores, and normalizes skin secretion. It has soothing and anti-rosacea properties.
A couple of months ago, when I found myself in a pharmacy belonging to a well-known chain, I saw cosmetics from a brand previously unknown to me. Of course, I was alarmed by the fact that I don’t know anything about this brand, and I haven’t seen any reviews about it at a beautician. But the inscription on the advertising poster, which stated that this line of products is intended specifically for oily and problem skin after 25 years, as well as low prices, coupled with discounts and promotions, did their job. So I ended up with: lotion, foam cleanser, a couple of face creams, one cream for the skin around the eyes, and I chose the cleansing gel as a gift. See my impressions about this brand under the cut.
As far as I understand from the data on the Internet, this series of products is produced specifically for a well-known pharmacy chain. Moreover, on their website it is written that the manufacturer is Gamma Cosmetic LLC, and on the packaging it is indicated - Orbita SP LLC. Unfortunately, I didn’t find a detailed story about the brand on their website. From what is presented in our pharmacy, I can conclude that the brand has 4 lines - "beauty" delicate care, "t-zone" against blackheads,"oil free" anti-greasy and "anti-acne" against acne and inflammation. Having studied the presented products for a long time, I opted for copies of different lines - depending on the desired effect.
The design of the brand, in my opinion, is very good. Stylish, eye-catching, not cheap.
Separately, I would like to note that on the packaging of all products, except for the cream for the skin around the eyes (which is the only product I have tested that belongs to the “beauty” line), it is indicated that the effectiveness has been confirmed by clinical trials at the ANO Center for Certification of Perfume and Cosmetic Products and Services "Cosmetic Test"
I described the features of my skin and approach to skincare cosmetics in detail in a post about EcoLab, so I won’t repeat myself. I tested the entire series for a little less than a month, some less, some more, and deliberately put aside some of my favorite masks and cleansers for a while - for the “purity of the experiment.”
Cleansing foam that regulates the activity of the sebaceous glands.
The manufacturer writes that the foam gently cleanses the skin of excess sebum without drying it out, soothes inflammation, and leaves a feeling of cleanliness and freshness for the whole day, thanks to the regu-seb plant complex, salicylic acid, string extracts, peony and eucalyptus essential oil. In addition, it is indicated that it is recommended to use the foam in tandem with a cream with a mattifying effect (which I also tested and I can sadly say that using them in pairs did not help at all).
Compound: drinking water, PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate, sodium laureth sulfate, glycerin, cocamidopropyl betaine, Regu-seb plant complex (dwarf palm fruit extracts, sesame seeds and argan oil), string extracts, peony, glycereth-8 avocado oil esters, salicylic acid, panthenol, perfume composition, eucalyptus essential oil, disodium EDTA, methylisothiazolinone (and) methylchloroisothiazolinone.
I love foam cleansers, it's my favorite part of my daily skin care routine. Therefore, when I saw the product in my favorite format, and even with the oil free label, which is more than relevant for me, I decided to buy it without hesitation.
The product gives a rich, thick foam; two pumps are enough. (The photo shows the foam that the bottle dispenses after 5 presses.)
It’s difficult for me to describe the aroma, I can only say that it is sweetish.) The consumption is not the most economical - it lasted me about a month and a half. I usually use these types of funds more slowly.
The foam cleanses so-so - a three plus or a four minus) I don’t know about overdrying, but it doesn’t exactly soothe inflammation. And most importantly, it does not control any sebaceous glands, because my restless skin begins to shine within half an hour. It's a shame
Price: OK. 170 rubles, approximately

Lotion that regulates the activity of the sebaceous glands.
(I apologize for the quality of the photo - the vile bottles were difficult to photograph properly)
So, we are promised deep cleansing of the skin and regulation of the activity of the sebaceous glands, as well as a feeling of cleanliness and freshness throughout the day and a reduction in inflammation and redness. The same complex should work on this, but this time together with salicylic acid and cucumber extract.
Compound: drinking water, hydrogenated castor oil (and) PPG-26 butet-26, Regu-seb plant complex (extracts of dwarf palm fruits, sesame seeds and argan oil), cucumber extract, salicylic acid, methylisothiazolinone, perfume composition, disodium salt EDTA.
The lotion is a clear water with the same sweetish aroma as the foam, only more pronounced. I was very disappointed with the bottle, which was leaking at the cap. (And this is important for me, since I often go to my parents in another city and take with me a whole trunk with all sorts of jars and bottles.)
But the saddest thing, of course, is that the lotion does nothing of what it promised - it cleanses very weakly, does not regulate the activity of the sebaceous glands in any way, and does not reduce inflammation and redness. And, as a result, there is no question of maintaining a feeling of cleanliness and freshness throughout the day.

Cleansing gel 2 in 1.
I took this gel as a gift, because the choice was small and what I wanted was not available. I myself would never buy such a gel - because I strongly doubt the ability of such products to get rid of blackheads and, moreover, to narrow pores.
It is written about this gel that it actively cleanses the skin of makeup and excess sebum, gently exfoliates the stratum corneum of the skin and helps tighten pores. The main active ingredients are salicylic acid, sage extract, fir essential oil and jojoba granules.
The product is a medium-thick gel with green granules. Smells like sweet mints
Compound:drinking water, sodium laureth sulfate, acrylate/steareth-20 methacrylate copolymer, cocamidopropyl betaine, glycerin, TEA, sage extract, salicylic acid, jojoba granules, allantoin, perfume composition, fir essential oil, methylisothiazolinone (and) methylchloroisothiazolinone.
I can’t say anything about cleansing the skin of makeup, since the first stage of my skincare routine is removing makeup with micellar water. Cleansing properties are average. Yes, it removes this excess sebum quite well, but I can’t say that the product has become a must-have. Perhaps the whole point is that I’m simply unaccustomed to such gels, since lately I most often use products in the format of foam, soap or scrub for cleansing.
In addition, when I stopped using creams of this brand (spoiler)), but still used foam and gel, I finally bought myself a konjac sponge. And I absolutely did not like using this gel with it, since these green granules (from which I did not see any effect, because they are not hard enough and there are not enough of them to fully scrub the skin, but why are they needed then, the question is)) got stuck in the sponge, which was terribly annoying.
Price: I got it as a gift, approximately 200 rubles.

Cream with mattifying effect and night cream concentrate
I will describe these two creams in pairs, since I used them simultaneously and did not notice any significant difference between them.
Promises:
Of course, the presence of a cardboard box and bottles with dispensers are pleasing, but I still didn’t like the packaging. The dispenser has such a tight spring that it is difficult to adapt to it and vary the amount of cream. As a result, more was always squeezed out than necessary.
Outwardly, they are identical - a regular cream of white color, medium thickness and with a light creamy aroma.
It is absorbed quickly enough, so there was no need to remove excess cream with a napkin, as recommended on the night cream box. As a base for makeup, the cream with a mattifying effect behaved well - it did not crease.
But action! Not only did the cream with a mattifying effect not mattify at all, and the night cream did not soothe inflammation, but these creams completely clogged my pores and provoked a whole bunch of new inflammations, which I have recently begun to slowly but surely get rid of. There were a lot more pimples, and they were all terribly painful, just a nightmare. I waited the prescribed two weeks and stopped using them.
Price: 263 cream with mattifying effect and 252 night cream

Eye cream.
I took this cream for company. Regular light cream, white in color with a fresh creamy aroma.
I'm just starting out using eye products so I don't have much experience. But this cream is for me Not I liked it. There is no talk of reducing swelling, let alone tightening. The visible wrinkles under the eyes have not gone away, although before that I used Avon eye gel from the Solution series, and in my opinion, it worked much better in this regard.
A useless thing, in general. At least it doesn't harm, that's okay.
Price: 99 rubles
Grade: 1 out of 5.
In conclusion, I want to say that overall I categorically did not like the series, although at the beginning I was still thinking about trying the scrub, mask and cleansing strips. Now I don’t know if it’s worth it? I’m especially outraged by the advertising, which says that this line is specifically for problem skin after 25. It would be nice if there was no effect, but it’s gotten worse!
Perhaps some of you will say that this was to be expected for such a price (in general, all the funds cost a thousand). I don’t agree with this, I’m sure that good products can also be found in budget brands - I’ve tested it from personal experience.
Thanks to everyone who made it through the post to the end, I wish you to experience as few failures as possible on the cosmetic front
