Melnikova Access

Melnikov access is a method of surgical treatment developed by the Soviet surgeon A.V. Melnikov (1889–1958). This method is used to treat diseases of the lungs, heart and other organs.

Melnikov developed this method in the 1920s, when he worked at the S. P. Botkin clinic in Moscow. He used his technique to treat pulmonary tuberculosis, but later it began to be used for other diseases.

The essence of the method is that the surgeon makes a small incision in the patient's chest to gain access to the affected organ. It then removes the diseased tissue and replaces it with healthy tissue from elsewhere in the body. This allows you to speed up the healing process and reduce the risk of complications.

Melnikov's method has become widespread in Russia and abroad. It is used to treat many diseases, including lung cancer, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease, and others.

However, despite the effectiveness of the method, it has its drawbacks. For example, it can cause complications such as bleeding or infection. In addition, the method requires a highly qualified surgeon and special equipment.

In general, Melnikov access is an effective method for treating many diseases. However, before using it, it is necessary to conduct a thorough examination of the patient and choose the right treatment method.
