The interspinous space is a strip in the middle part of the back of the longitudinal vault of the skull. It is located between the occipital and pyramids of the temporal bones. Bones forming the interspinous plane: Platybasia, located behind the mastoid processes; Parietal bone passing between the mastoid processes; Plesdenberg, i.e. the square portion of the occipital bone between the medial end of the orbit and the occipital protuberance of the basion. There is no sinus in the interspinous space because it is far from the sinus cavities. Also, the interspinous opening is the midpoint of the middle neck - the top of the skull does not reach this place.
The bones at the back of the ear penetrate approximately this area when the scar forms. This causes cyanosis due to disruption of normal blood circulation and decreased pumping
