Myelitis Disseminated

Currently, myelitis is the most common disease of the peripheral nerves, accounting for about 60% of all cases of damage to the peripheral nervous system, which is generally comparable to that in the United States.

Myelitis is an inflammation of the dorsal horns of the spinal cord and peripheral nerve at the spinal level, caused by a demyelinating (but most often) and less often by an axonal process.
