Nephrorrhaphy

Name of the procedure: "Nephrorrhaphy"

What is “Nephrorrhaphy”, about the procedure: - an operation by suturing blood vessels, sometimes along with crossing them in different places - this is a surgical procedure for suturing blood vessels inside or around the kidney - in other words, it is suturing the blood vessels of one person to another

Nephrography: features of the procedure and preparation for it

Nephrorrhaphy is a kidney operation in which part of the organ tissue is removed to reduce its volume and prevent further development of the disease. It can be performed as a standalone procedure or in combination with other procedures, such as nephrectomy (removal of a kidney) or resection (excision of part of an organ).

How does the procedure work?

***Step 1:*** ***preparatory stage*** Before the operation, the patient is examined, including laboratory tests, computed tomography (CT) with contrast and ultrasound examination of the kidneys. This allows you to determine the condition

Nephroration is one of the surgical methods for treating benign renal hyperplasia (renal adenoma).

In most cases, nephrorrhophy is performed simultaneously with another urological operation: nephrectomy, pyeloplasty or lithotripsy. However, sometimes nephrorrhaphy is performed as an independent operation. As a rule, this is relevant for large-sized adenomas. Typically, large tumors of this structure are removed along with the kidney. Treatment can only be accepted when the risk of complications during the operation is minimal when the organ is removed. Sometimes in such cases, X-ray surgical procedures are immediately prescribed: puncture drainage of the renal pelvis or stenting of the renal pelvis system.

Nephrorrhophy in the acute stage of pyelonephritis is a difficult task. Since acute inflammation disrupts local immunity, the likelihood of the spread of an infectious process increases, for example due to infection of the bladder, ureter or vagina, and there may also be problems with the contraction of healthy peritoneal tissue when closing the wound. In addition, the number of complications increases significantly at this stage.
