Parapsoriasis is a skin lesion that occurs as a consequence of syphilis, which is manifested by the formation of small dark plaques and itching. The name “parapsoriasis” was introduced into medicine in 1883 by the French dermatologist Brisson to designate non-infectious psoriasis, since the similarity of pathomorphological signs with secondary syphilis, suffered many years ago, indicated the possibility of a connection between them. The term “bulla placa” did not catch on, but a new one – “parapsoriasis” – took root.
The term currently used is "Beignet's prurigo", somewhat less precise than "parapsoriasis", which has several synonyms: "erythroderma"
