Pleomorphism

The concept of pleomorphism, also called polymorphism in the context of both biology and sociology, explains that in the evolutionary development of most species, living things can exist in different life forms or states that differ in their properties, but are not always completely separated genetically and ecologically.

The term "pleomorphosis" is used to describe the fact that members of the same species can have different forms, or forms of more than one species. Unlike a polymorphic allele, where individual representatives of one allelic expression have different properties, in pleomorphic organisms all representatives have different properties, even within each individual.
